Old blood/Discharge

so I’ve been on the implant for 2 years almost 3, I get it removed in november. I didn’t have a period for almost the whole year of 2017 because I was on the pill as well and then it began again January 1st of this year. My doctor gave me the pill again to make my period go away because I have it basically every other week. I started taking them but they made me sick so I stopped taking them. Then I just recently had my period for a week, stopped for a day, had it again for 3-4 days and then I was off yesterday. But last night my partner fingered me and now I have discharge that looks like it could be old blood but I’m not completely sure. Is this normal? Is there any way I can get it to stop? Cause I usually have a lot of old blood.
