Plastic lids worse than straws?

We all know that Starbucks has gotten rid of straws and are trying out something different. My question is: Did they really do anything good with it if the lids have just as much plastic, if not more?

Are we so concerned with just straws that the amount of extra plastic used was not taken into consideration?

Opinions please! I'm not really sure how I feel about this really. I get the idea and cause, but was the outcome worth it?
