I have a friend that I rejected years ago. I was really nice about it and my reason for rejecting him was that I wasn't over my ex not ready for a new relationship. He kept his distance for a while which hurt because I really liked him as a friend. But, I ended up back together with my ex (he's now my fiance actually) and my friend is my friend again and has been for the last 5+ years. He's now married to a great girl and it's all in the past that he ever liked me.
