Nap after daycare

So my 11 week old refuses to nap at daycare. He gets dropped off at 9am and is usually picked up by 3:30pm. During that time he never sleeps more than 20 minutes at a time and no longer than 30-40minutes total for the day. So the reason for this post is that when we get home he is so tired that he just wants to sleep. How do I keep him up so that he’ll sleep at night? If I let him nap he will actually sleep for 2 or 3 hours but if I wake him up he’s so fussy and becomes inconsolable. What should I do??
