what does it mean when a guy calls you “love”?

me and this guy have been talking (pre-dating) for about 2 months now. He’s VERY sweet and has pretty much won my heart by now. he’s called me beautiful & gorgeous before, but hasn’t in a while. last night I texted him “goodnight cutie😊” cause I was about to fall asleep, and he replied with “goodnight love😍” It obvi made me go to sleep with a smile on my face, but I’ve never been called that before so I don’t quite know what it means/what he means by calling me love. help😂
