They were in the airport floor and probably in someone else’s ears. I wouldn’t touch them because it’s gross, but also because they aren’t mine to take.

Sounds unsanitary to be honest. I’d definitely clean and disinfect them before using them. Other than that, just like with finding change on the ground I don’t think it’s wrong to take them. If I saw someone come around in that area aimlessly looking for something on the floor I’d walk up to them and ask what they were looking for. If they say a pair of earphones they’ve lost then I’d give them back. Other than that I’d probably keep them.
