My Doctors office seems VBAC tolerant not VBAC supportive
Hi there! I’m 15 weeks pregnant with my second, I conceived 13 months after birth. My two girls will be 22 months apart. I mentioned to the nurse who saw me at my last appointment that I wanted a VBAC and she made this face...and said well we would have to calculate your predicted success rate...she didn’t seem too supportive. I did cry because I really just want a natural vaginal birth.
I really don’t want another c section...I never went into labor on my own and had my induction scheduled for 41 weeks. I endured a failed induction in the hospital for 3 days before they decided to give me a c section. I was 9 cm dilated and slightly effaced when it was decided to give me a c section.
No one told me a straight answer for why my daughter needed that c section. I suppose it was failure to descend considering she was still so high up when I delivered. Her head was in the 97th percentile and turned to the right, I wonder if that is why too? It seems I am not a good candidate, as I’m obese as well. 240 lbs and 5’4...very active though and no other health problems !
