first wedding anniversary vacation

I'm trying to surprise my husband with a small vacation for our 1st wedding anniversary at the end of December. I'm wanting to book early to get it cheaper so we can spend more money doing things. Any suggestions of where? We are in south carolina so either here or close by states. our go to places are pegion forge/Gatlinburg and myrtle beach, we wanna branch out from there.
