Paragard removal?

Question

Does having your paragard removed hurt as much as insertion? Insertion was toe curling for me and I'd like to be mentally prepared if it feels the same.

girl. mine fell out on a heavy period and I didn't even know. now I'm Prego. 
to answer your question tho, yes it feels the same pinchy crampy feeling, just exhale when they do it and make horse sounds with your lips to get threw it. that's what the internet suggests. that's what I did my first iud. and embarrassing enough I did it to get thru my contraction my second birth. it really helps.

I would like to know this as well. What do you mean by “the same pinche cramping feeling”? My insertion felt more like someone trying to slice me open with a filet knife from the inside. I was in so much pain I couldn’t talk and had trouble breathing. Could only cry. If the removal is anything like the insertion I’m going to see if I can find a doctor who will put me under to do it.

I had mine removed after 10 years and it didn't hurt at all. It was a little pinch. She told me it may hurt a little since I had it in that long but it only lasted a second. But mine also didn't hurt when it was placed.
