period pains

every time i use the restroom on my period i get a lot of pain and in the past i’ve had a uti so maybe that has something to do with the pains. but when i stand up after i use the restroom the pain gets 100x worse i will sit on the toilet for about 5 mins cause i can’t stand the pain of getting up. the get the pain is in my uterus and idk if this is normal and should i see a doctor about this?
