But most people aren’t perfect, so on average it’s 91% effective. Only you know how perfectly you’ve been taking it. But you’re probably not pregnant.

Personally, I was really shitty about taking my birth control at the same time every day but hadn’t used condoms in legit 8 years (two very committed and long term relationships, the second one ending in marriage) and had zero pregnancy scares. My husband and I decided to try for a baby so I stopped taking it and the next month I was pregnant, so it wasn’t like I had fertility problems. Maybe I got lucky, but I think birth control is pretty reliable 🤷🏻‍♀️

Depends on the pill and depends on the person, everyone has their own experience.
I was on the pill for 9-10 years and never had a pregnancy scare, and my now husband and I never used another form of protection. We got pregnant immediately coming off the pill though, we were very lucky.
But then my sister, said she was taking her pill consistently (though I kind of have doubts about that, saw a pack years ago with some pills skipped 🤷) is now pregnant with #3 and none of them were planned. She swears up and down she took the pills and she's just got that <.01% failure, three times... I still don't believe her though.
