I found the ring😭

I THINK I JUST FOUND MY OWN ENGAGEMENT RING.

And I feel terrible! My boyfriend and are have been together almost three years and I’m 17 weeks pregnant. Before we found out, we talked about getting engaged and even looked at rings. But when we found out we were pregnant, we pushed that to the back of our heads, or at least I thought we did!

We said we wanted to focus on the baby and our financial stability, and I was perfectly happy doing so. I know he loves me, and I love him with my whole heart.

Well, we spent yesterday moving out of our apartment we shared for a year. We are moving to my parents to focus on saving money and being somewhere we are familiar with. Today we went to the apartment to clear more stuff out, and I told him I was going to take his suitcase outside to shake it out. (The apartment had roaches, I DO NOT want to bring roaches into my parents home)

He said “no we’ll do it when we get there.”

I was going to at least do the side pockets because I saw a roach running across his bag earlier. Well I opened the side pocket and there was a ring box. For some reason I thought nothing of it and popped it open...

It was just like the ring we looked at. So simple, just a band with a solitaire stone. I felt my heart skip and I snapped it closed and tossed it back in! I didn’t say anything, but I feel so bad! I honestly had NO IDEA this was even something that would be happening soon!

Now, I’m still not expecting anything. I’m not getting too excited, painting my nails and so on. I’m going to continue on as if I didn’t see a thing.

I love him so much, I CANT FRICKIN BELIEVE IT.
