Can’t have sex post IUD

Since 6 week ok hubby and I have been having sex pretty often with no problems. I went to get my IUD put in yesterday and before they could even get it inserted I guess my cervix was so soft it started bleeding just from whatever they do to prep? Anyway, since then—it’s been 36 hours—like I can barely get a finger up there it feels so swollen and hurts?!

Normal? Anyone else ever experience this or should I call doctor??
