Boyfriend Cutting Sex Out of Our Relationship

My boyfriend (who I lost my virginity to a year ago) just told me that he wants to cut sex out of our relationship. We've been extremely actuve and now he just doesn't want to do it anymore because he wants to go back to following the word of the bible. I'm happy with that but a year ago, I wanted to wait until marriage. I'm kind of just really thrown off. How do I react?
