I just dont understand men...

So I met this guy who comes into my place of work. He used to come in every few days, and when we spotted each other he always had this silly sweet smile. Fast forward a few weeks of him coming in, and us conversating whenever we saw each other. (He works out of state sometimes) So the last time I saw him, he gave me the same sweet smile, but this time he asked me for my number. My phone wasn't on at the time, so I added him through Facebook and we have talked thru that for about 2 weeks now. The conversation was much better in person. He gives me one word replies, acts like he never has anything to say. I don't know what changed. So yesterday I asked him if he was even interested in me like that, and he said he was. He asked me why, and I told him he is kinda sending me mixed signals. Haven't heard a word from him since. He went from texting me every morning, to just nothing. So I'm assuming "he's just not that into me". Crying shame too, cuz he was one good looking man!!! What do y'all think. No wife or kids, so that's not a good reason. Maybe weighing his options.
