I’m going to start trying for my first baby next year and have just looked up the maternity leave options for me just to set up a plan.

I live in Australia and I will get paid 6 weeks paid maternity leave with my company at around $1050/week. Then I will get 18 weeks paid maternity leave from the government at $713/week.

I was just curious what other people from other countries are entitled to, and if your job will give your paid leave or just unpaid leave.

EDIT - The father/partner also gets two weeks government parental leave at $713/week.

EDIT - We are also able to take up to 12 months maternity leave from work and still have a job to go back to.
