If you're ashamed or embarrassed to be with him, don't be with him. When you're in a relationship you shouldn't want to hide it from loved ones. My SO is older than me and everyone who is in my life knows and are happy that we're happy.

If you've been with him for 3 years and your family and friends have never met him then you're ashamed of him and your relationship with him. If you truly loved and cared then you would show him off to friends and family..regardless of age difference.

Yeah it doesn’t work for everybody but for some it works great. How does he feel about being kept a secret? What makes you so afraid of telling your family? If you’re happy with this man you should open up about it to them.. that way you can move on in your relationship. There is a large age gap between my husband and I.. He’s older than me by 27 years. All that mattered at the time of introducing him to my family was that I love him with all my heart and he makes me happier than I’ve ever been. They weren’t weird about it.. There is nothing wrong with being with an older man/woman.
