Babies head low at 29 weeks?

Question

I got an ultrasound today. it was supposed to be 3D but the babies head was too low so we couldn’t get a 3D view. the doctor said that it was really low so they could probably start checking me for dilation by 35 or 36 weeks. is this normal? I’m not worried but I’m not sure if This is a normal time for that to happen

My daughter was super low early on too, I was told it generally would make for an easier delivery but it doesn’t mean baby will come early. I’m 37 weeks now and she’s about as low as she can get til I’m in actual labor. But being said, my ob starts checking for dilation at 36 weeks whether or not baby is low so that’s normal anyway (I was checked at 34 when they thought my water was leaking though). Even being dilated doesn’t mean labor would be near. I’ve been at a 2 for weeks now and still nothing nor have I progressed.

when i was pregnant with my son, he was extremely low. made for a very easy birth. he was full term at just over 39 weeks when i was induced. you can also be dilated for weeks and not be in labor so i wouldn't worry too much.

Same happening with me I’ve just lost £150 I paid for a 3D scan they couldn’t get anything because baby was way too low 😭
