Should getting legally divorce be easier ?

I was wondering with divorce it can take so long, cost alot of money and some states there is a mandatory wait time. 
  Do you think it should be easier and shorter ?

Just like marriage shouldnt be taken lightly, then divorce shouldnt be either (unless abuse is involved). If there is a situation where the spouse is reported for abuse then I think that should be sped up. Otherwise, sorry but getting married is a legally binding contract. Getting out of a legally binding contract is a process

No, you should be made more aware of divorce before you get married. The reason it takes a long time and a lot of money is it's hard to split up assets, determine child support or alimony, etc. It doesn't have to take a long time or a lot of money if you both agree on everything but that's rarely the case.

If you don’t have any kids or property, divorce is relatively easy: my ex and I filed jointly for divorce after figuring out our shit, I paid a $450 fee, and it was done. But, we were crazy poor and I also didn’t feel like fighting him. It’s when you have children and assets that it gets rightfully (IMO) complex. 
I do have to say, I really don’t agree with mandatory waiting periods. In some states you have to be legally separated for 6 months before you can even file for divorce, and I just don’t get that. If people want out, let them out.

when I got divorced it was easier than getting married honestly. We filed and it was finalized 10 days later and we had to wait 6 months to marry again. it was finalized so quick for us because he was deploying the end of that month and it needed to be done quick so the judge ordered it finalized within 10 days

I think marriage license should be renewed every 7 yrs and failure to renew should be an automatic divorce. Ppl shouldn’t have to go through so much to get a divorce if they want one.

If it’s mutual it should be sped up. I told my husband we should evaluate a plan ahead of time before filing anything official if we ever wanted to be divorced. A long lengthy expensive divorce isn’t good for anybody. If we decided it was quitting time we would sit down and decide on custody arrangements (50/50 we agreed on this before TTC), Christmas morning my house Christmas night his house, etc he knows I don’t think fathers are second class citizens and I wouldn’t treat him like one. No CS. Equal custody, etc. she is just as much my child as she is his. We decided together to create her, he held my hand every heart breaking moment of my pregnancy, and has been the best daddy ever from the moment that plus sign showed up on that test. I hope we never break up because he’s my best friend, but we are prepared to co parent if the occasion arises.

I’m divorcing my husband at the moment. It’s hard enough as it is without having to pay out a fortune, jump through hoops and have to make sure our reasons match their criteria 🙄. Luckily ours was ‘approved yesterday’ but they make it really difficult for people. It should deffo be made easier

It’s easy if the couple divorcing is cooperative. My mom and dad divorced each other twice. Both times they did it themselves with a kit they bought haha.
