if concerns are raised about a foster carer should the child be removed until it's resolved?

if a complaint or concern is raised about a foster carer should the child be removed from their care until it's been looked into and they've been cleared? say there's been a complaint raised about neglect/abuse/other concerning behaviour. do you think the child should be temporarily placed somewhere else until the carer has been investigated and cleared of the allegations?

I think it depends. I think it typically should be handled the same as if it were the child’s biological and legal parents. Because if the children are removed, they are just going to another foster home and that’s not great either. It should be more or less the same process

I had a personal experience with this when I was 6, I was sexually/physically  abused my foster care giver for 9 months. My teacher, and some neighbors would always say something but nothing was ever done. I would go to school with hickeys in my neck, and it took 9 months to be removed, have a case built, have doctors actual proof I was abused. my case worker never looked into the situation therefore I was stuck, until I had family wanting to adopt us and before I had been there that guys' own daughter had ran away and his daughter made allegations of sexual abuse but they still let him and his wife foster.

Any allegation should not be taken lightly. Children have been murdered or abused in the foster care system because carers are given the benefit of the doubt

I think so but kids also lie about stuff like that if they don’t get their way. My SO niece walked up to him and said “i’m going to tell mom that you beat me”. They’re fostering her and she does that more often than not. It started worrying my SO sister so we moved out.

Of course! I know it doesn’t happen this way but we are trying to get these kids away from dysfunctional situations. But I know how some foster homes can be. As a kid our neighbours ran one and man was the woman a horrible lady. She was so obese she was bed ridden and she would just order the kids around. Not exaggerating
