Birth control dilemma

I’m currently on the combination pill for pregnancy prevention & also to calm/stop my extremely painful periods.

I want to change to the implant as it has a higher effectiveness, but I like the fact I can skip periods all together on the pill...

My periods are very light & last about 3 days although they are excruciatingly painful when not on the pill.

Has anyone who has the implant experienced no periods whatsoever or less painful periods?
