Am I wrong???

Okay so story time. I was “talking” to this guy for months and we had a really good connection. He’s actually an ex from when I was like 15, (I’m 17 btw) SO anyways... I’m such a loving person that I give everyone my last, I gave this boy money and so much love. I was there for him for some tough times but I was constantly hearing that he was messing with other females but I chose to believe him over the rumors. I was really coming from an all time low so when this boy told me he loved me, let me tell you it meant a lot (yk I’m a highschooler I’m all emotional and shit). The next thing I know the rumors are true and he has a girl friend!! Who he’s madly in love with and he stops talking to me out of nowhere. He knowingly had me as a friend on all social media but continued to post pictures and videos of them, apologizing for all the things he had ever done to her ( I was salty because he did me wrong a million times and I never got a fancy post) so anywayyy I finally got over him and let me tell you it’s not easy getting over someone you love but they don’t actually love you they just lied to use you. SOOOO one day this boy who were just gonna call “James” text me begging me to give him a chance. WELL james and my ex are “cool” so I turned James down because I didn’t want to be portrayed as the female who dates close friends but James assured me that him and my ex weren’t as close as I thought. SO moral of the story is I’ve been with James for 4 months now and my ex has texted me a few times saying how I’m wrong for dating his friend... but I really wanna know, am I?
