I was not expecting this.. AT ALL!

Quick back story.. So we’re three months pregnant as of this past Sunday. We’ve held this secret for so long from both our parents (we live out west), and we finally told them after getting back on our trip to Nova Scotia. I’m from SK, so I told my parents via webcam.

It was a whirlwind of a day, to finally tell his family all individually and let them know their first grandchild, niece or nephew was coming along in February. There was excitement and so many emotions from every corner. 💕

I’m out shopping with my sister in law, and my boyfriend asks to go to Peggy’s Cove. I text him and of course ask if its still foggy. Because we won’t see nothing. 😂

So his best friend drives the four of us out, and his sister asked to take a picture of

us ok my phone (she got a video of it all). I think nothing of it, little did I know she was capturing the most surreal moment in my entire life. 😭

I immediately nodded and said YES. I couldn’t make out my words, and he felt the same way. The feeling is something I’ve never in my life felt before.

It was perfect.

Funny thing is, we’ve been telling his parents we want to take a picture with them but I tell them during the recording that they’re going to become grandparents.

So I got tricked by my own idea! I’ve never been so surprised. But I couldn’t be happier.

*Update* I still haven’t posted to any social media. I just wanted to enjoy this moment with him and our family for a bit first. It sucks having pressure from Facebook and unwanted advice, y’know? But I’ll be sharing the video once my ring is fitted and back. 😂
