The shot

So I got the depo shot last month and I’m experiencing my first period since then and it was suppose to start 5 days ago but hasn’t. I know some people don’t have there period anymore after getting the shot but I’m nervous because 2 weeks ago my partner and I were having sex and I caused him to miss when he was trying to pull out. I started spotting today but it’s like the end of your period spotting not the you’re about to start spotting. Should I take a test or let my period week finish playing out??
