Is 6 weeks to short?

Moms, I need advice. Is 6 weeks maternity leave too short?? I’m having major anxiety over this 😓😓
My job won’t give me anymore time or I’ll be replaced

Is that 6 weeks from the company? If your company is a large one they may offer FMLA which is typically unpaid leave but should protect your position by law. You may want to look into it if you’re willing to take unpaid leave. I have a savings I dipped into for mine. 
Otherwise, 6 weeks sounds standard for the US. Sucks, I know :(

It is too short in my opinion but I think that's just about the standard anywhere. Read your states maternity leave rights, for example I live in TN and it says we're eligible for 12 weeks of unpaid leave but I've never seen any work place here actually offer more than 6 weeks and allow them to stay an employee unless there was a medical problem. Mamas are done wrong when it comes to maternity leave!

Definitely too short. But some ppl have no issues with it. I'm 19 months into staying at home.

I'm taking 6 weeks. I don't think it's too short, however, you can't be fired for taking longer.  (I assume you're in the US). There's paperwork you need to fill out, but the Family Medical Leave Act, FMLA, gives you up to 12 weeks off. You're not paid,  but leagally they can't fire you.

I went back after 6 weeks because it was unpaid. It was tough but we needed me to go back to work to start earning again.
