Does my boss have to pay me for extra time worked, for example we finish at 5 but most days I won’t get out of work until 10 - 20 past 5, plus sometimes I have to work in my unpaid break too.

Are you being paid wages or are you on salary? If it’s salary then no, you only get what was agreed on as a set amount of money. If it’s wages then it depends on company policy. Generally yes, they’re supposed to pay overtime.

I guess it depends on your employer’s policy like everyone else is saying. I’m paid hourly and use a digital time clock so every minute is accounted for and paid for.

it depends my other  halfs old place would pay per 15 mins so if your late ten mins you dont get that 15 mins or if you worked over say 20 mins you would only get paid up to that 15 mins .. my job pays me by the minuite so if i work over 3 mins i get paid whatever my hourly rate is for those 3 mins. and as others say it depends if its hourly pay vs salaried pay which you should have been told when starting
