How long is your dog at the groomers?

I tried a new groomer today and she’s been there for 4 hours 😂 I called at hour 3 and she said hey are drying her. I have a German Shepherd and she definitely needed to be groomed but It has never taken this long at the other place. Maybe they are doing a really good job?🤷🏼‍♀️

My black lab mix goes to Petco for grooming and it’s usually 4 hours. I enjoy the break 😛

Thanks everyone! I was the first appt of the day, i had no problem waiting. Just picked her up☺️ I thought they would trim her back legs but they didn’t, I’ll be more specific next time.

I’m sure the actual grooming doesn’t take long, but they do have to wait their turn sometimes

I use my vet clinic. my dog is dropped off at 8am and around 1 they call to pick up. my dog is short haired

Its probably a very busy, short staffed day. Im a professional groomer and sometimes, ESPECIALLY on a Saturday, the shop is so busy and the teenagers they hire for baths skip out on the weekends. Also, it takes a really long time to dry a shepherd because of their undercoat. If they dont react well to the force dryer, they have to be dried with box fans.
