How to tell my parents?

So me and my bf have been together for almost 2 years and we are thinking of telling my parents next week before our 2 year anniversary I am 17 going to be 18 in November and he is going to be 21 on the 14th. We aren’t sure how to bring it up or what to say. What advice do you have? This would be the first guy I will have officially introduced to my parents.

don’t know if this will help, but when I told my parents I sat them down and made sure that there would be no interruptions because it’ll just make me second guess myself. I told them I’d appreciate it if they waited to make comments until the end as well as questions. Then I told them about my boyfriend, starting off with who he is and how long I’ve known him as well as how long I’ve liked him (all of that jazz lol), his family is friends with my family so it made me more nervous because they didn’t know him. After that, I let them bombard me with questions/comments/concerns and they appreciated my honesty even if I was hiding my relationship from them. You got this!
