4 week ultrasound safety?

Hi everyone! I’m 4.5 weeks and had an ultrasound today to rule out ectopic pregnancy. The whole ultrasound was around 5 maybe 10 minutes long. A tiny little sac was seen and baby is where it should be. Now I’m googling and freaking myself out that an ultrasound that early is potentially harmful to the developing baby?  Reading some conflicting stuff. Any thoughts?

The screens shot doesn’t explain it. If you have placenta previa your placenta is low lying and could be over your cervix. Having a transvaginal ultrasound can put pressure on the cervix and the placenta since it’s laying over the cervix. Only get your information from evidence based research articles and I promise you’ll feel better :)

It’s fine! I’m pregnant via IVF and my dr (reproductive endocrinologist) always does transvaginal ultrasounds weekly from 4 weeks to 8 weeks. Don’t worry, mama ☺️
