should i tell him?

so, here's the situation. several months ago i became friends with an amazing guy. he and I have grown really comfortable with each other since then and we hang out often, and talk almost every day. I've developed really strong feelings for him, which he doesnt know. most of my friends think i should tell him. Im not scared of rejection, because sure it'll hurt, but I've been there. what i am scared of is loosing his friendship, or having things be akward between us if he doesnt reciprocate my feelings. he and i have done things like casually share nudes, but i can't tell if he's in to me. he's always so sweet to me and every time we hang out it's like my troubles just dissappear. one other factor is that awhile ago he went through a breakup that really tore him apart, and now he said he doesnt beleive in relationships any more. im not sure what to do but my feelings for him are eating me alive, please help. do i tell him about my feelings for him?
