Making formula tips?

Looking for some tips on the quickest and easiest way to make formula.
I tried making it a couple times when bub was younger and it just seemed like such a long process by the time you boil the water, mix it together and then wait for it to cool (the cooling part is what took forever). Is there a quick way to making it so my son isn't crying the house down for half an hour while we're waiting for it to cool? He's only 10 months old so we're not trying cows milk yet and I've never been succesful at getting much from expressing

I’ve never boiled water, there’s no need to. Room temperature tap water works just fine

I boiled a big batch of water and once it cooled down I would put it in the bottles (with leftovers in a small gallon) so when I needed formula i just put in how much ever powdered i needed. I never heated it up I just had it at room temp.

I boil a gallon worth of water and let it cool overnight in the pot with the lid on.  in the am I put it in a gallon jug that was used for water.  then every morning I would fill bottles.  when the jug hit low I would boil more.

Oh my! You’re doing very unnecessary work!! You don’t need to boil the water (unless your child has a sickness or issue and the doctor told you to). We used bottled water at room temp- no heating or cooling necessary. I had a super quick way. I used these little plastic containers that snap open by just squeezing them pre-filled with measured formula. I’d fill some with 4 ounces worth of powder and some with 2 ounces worth. I’d have many bottles filled- some with 4 and some with 2 ounces of water (larger bottles with 4 and smaller bottles with 2 so you know at first glance which ones have how much. And the plastic containers containing formula powder were color coded). I’d start with a 4 ounce bottle and pour in a 4 ounce container of formula, shake and serve. Lol. If he finished 4 I’d refill it immediately with a 2 oz container (and I also had multiple 2 oz bottles of water so for refills I’d quickly pour in a 2 oz water refill then a 2 ounce formula refill, shake and serve). I kept refilling this way until he was done. (He has always been a big eater so we’d do this until he’d have up to 16 ounces at times). 
I had a large flat serving tray on a side table by the rocking chair in the nursery (in the earlier days when he was in bed with us I had it on a side table by the bed where I didn’t even have to get out of bed to do it all). Everything was arranged on the tray. Big bottles with 4 ounces of water, small bottles with 2 ounces of water. A different type of small bottle with the 2 ounce water refills. Dark colored plastic containers with 4 ounces worth of formula, light colored plastic containers with 2 ounces worth of formula. It’s super simple and fast. You match up the amount of ounces you want with the bottle already measured with water- with a container already measured with the scoops of formula. 
I can’t even tell you how much time and stress this saved!! If you’re interested I can take a pic and post it to show you what the tray looked like etc if you are having a hard time imagining it. I can also tell you where to find the little plastic containers for the formula. They were the big time saver!

We just use tap water or room temp bottles, whichever is closer.

You could just boil a little water, enough to sterilize the formula powder, and then add cold/not warm water as much as needed.
