Do you always expect candy bags at a kids birthday party?

I will be having my toddlers second birthday but I think I won’t be giving out no candy bags this year idk I just feel it’s too much. If I do just a piñata (maybe idk yet) but that will be it. It’s a Mexican tradition to have both which was something I did for my toddlers first birthday. But this time I won’t be giving out no candy bags. 
Have you done this? Did you ever not give any kind of candy at your kids party? Am I wrong for this 😭 lol

If you do the pinata just have the kids decorate a paper bag and when it busts viola! They have candy bags !!

My daughters 1st bday wont have goody bags, But she's  having 2  filled Pinatas with actual  Good candy and toys.... its about  50 kids, I was not about to spend on little crap to put for each  one when (parents dont want that crap around the hous either)

You’re not wrong. However most of the time it’s expected at kids parties. 
When my LO turns 1, we will be doing party favours for adult and bags for kids. Then again, I do favours for everything as a “thank you”. 
The parties I have attended that gave nothing were just as good and I wasn’t disappointed nor did I care. The kids didn’t either. As long as there’s cake 😂 🤷🏾‍♀️

I do party favor bags but I don’t put candy in them. I put little tiny gifts and one treat like a pack of cookies. If I do any candy at all I’ll add a couple packs of smarties in each one. I’m just. It a big fan of giving kids a bunch of candy but I always have something that relates to the theme of the party.

I'm Mexican but we don't both. If there's a place to hang a pinata then that's what we do if not then I give out goody bags. Nothing says you have to do both but it's nice to do at least one. So if you do a pinata just hand out empty goody bags and let the kids get what they can from the pinata, that's what my family does.

We are doing a craft the kids can do and take home. The theme is the Very Hungry Caterpillar and I found lady bug and bumble bee plastic jars they decorate with foam stickers on oriental trading. 12 sets for 12 dollars.

Some don’t even give out CAKE!because of the candy table if they do it’s a small cake.

I'd be miffed if there wasn't a party bag, I've never had a party, attended one as a kid or taken my nephew to a party that didn't give them out. I always enjoyed making them but it had a little toy, some strawberry laces, lolly and a piece of cake, they're cheap to make and a fun thing for the kids to take home.
