Pack n Play Sleep?

My 6 month old has been sleeping in his pack n play next to our bed for a few months now. It's been incredible as I nurse early morning and it's super convenient to pick him up and place him in bed.. but he now weighs too much for the bassinet insert.. do I bite the bullet and put him in his crib in his room or is it okay to place him in the bottom part of the pack n play to sleep? We started to do this tonight and it just seems SO LOW! 😩 I got way too used to him being so close to me and basically eye level while I'm in bed. Im so anxious about every change!

*Edited to add he naps in his crib and we have a video monitor but I would prefer to follow AAP recommendations which now suggest room-sharing until age 1. Also the fact that I breastfeed and we nurse some at night are very important to me.
