Can cats sense a miscarrage?

Anna

Here's my story. So I missed my period but didn't feel pregnant and discovered we were. Then symptoms kicked in. We were sooo excited to be giving my daughter a sibling after many months of trying to concieve. At first, my partners cat, who was all over me during my first pregnancy, wouldn't leave my side. Constently wanting to be led on my belly. We went for an early scan, as I'm a very nervous person, I had a few twinges in my left ovary, but wanted reassurance. So we had an early scan. We were told, we probably wouldn't be able to see anything, which we didn't, but they did notice liquid on my left fallopian tube. We had a blood test and then instructed to come in acouple days later to check my hgc levels were multiplying nicely. I'm the kind of person who thinks the worst, but hopes for the best and my partners very positive. Our results came back over the phone, apparently our hgc levels wernt rising and we're actually falling, which meant, miscarrage. Absolutely devistating news! I'm currently here passing what I think is a baby and alot of blood (whilst wearing one of my daughters nappies like a pad). Luckily I have no pain, but emotionally am very hurt. The cats gave been literally fighting to be close to me, be near my belly and my dog wants to be near. Guessing they can sense the hormones. I go back Monday to check the baby has gone naturally via blood test. Here's Kiara my snowy bengal cat loving the belly
