Cedars-Sinai or close to home?

Question

My current RE and OB-GYN are at Cedars. I like them a lot, but in LA traffic it’s close to an hour drive. Our insurance is changing soon and I do have the option of staying, but I could also switch to someone in the Burbank area and eventually deliver at St. Joseph which is 10 minutes away.
Cedars is one of the best hospitals in the country though. What would you do? Which is more important? Location or reputation?

I would take a maternity tour at both hospitals to be 100% sure.

It usually only takes me 30 mins to get to Cedars from Burbank. My Obgyn is there and I stay do to the reputation.

My nephew was born at St Joesphs And it was a great experience for him, his mother and our family.  I also did some clinic training rotations there for and volunteer work.  The hospital is amazing and they also provided awesome supplemental courses for expecting parents.  The security they have on the newborn unit is also great and they really highlight the golden hour and skin to skin contact with the newborn and mother. 
Cedars is far away and I would be personally concerned about the drive when in labor and getting home.  Being close to home also makes it easier when you have your baby in the car for the first time.

I gave birth to my daughter at westwood ucla and had a horrible experience. I also have a friend that had a terrible experience at cedars. I actually wanted to go to St. Joseph's because of its awesome reviews, but that would mean I have to leave my obgyn. I don't think I have it in me to shop around for another obgyn, so I'm going to deliver at ucla in Santa Monica this time. My friend had 4 kids there and she says it's wonderful, nothing like westwood. But if I had more time I would have switched to St. Joseph's. I'm in malibu, so I know how you feel about that long trek, all these hospitals are an hour from me lol. You should take a tour of both and be wary of the students they have to perform procedures. I had an anesthesiologist intern do my epidural and it fell out, had to get it twice. Then a weirdo in the delivery room that did nothing but stare at me and smile through the deliver. Felt like a scary clown was in the room with me. Too much was happening and my daughter popped out really fast or I would have said something about that student.
