Need advice 🙏🐈

Hi! So I have an adorable kitten, Scout, who was found on the side of the road. His mouth was a bit damaged but he has stitches in now.

He had no siblings with him when he was found, and so very little socialising with cats. He is amazing with humans though, but is a little late on learning the whole ‘cat language’.

That’s where Fern comes in.

Fern is an amazing, super friendly, gorgeous tortoiseshell cat. I know tortoiseshells are typically feisty, but she picked up none of that. However, she loves to play. Scout loves to play. Everybody is happy, right?

Wrong.

You see, we found Fern before Scout. At the time my mom wouldnt let me keep her (now it’s different since I turned my mom into a complete cat person since then)

We brought Fern to my Nanas house in Cavan (I’m in Ireland) so she can live there and we can bring Scout back to Dublin. In the few days before we are due to go back to Dublin, Scout and Fern began to play with each other.

Now they wont stop.

Its great for both Scout and Fern, but now we dont know what to do...

I have an Auntie with mild Down syndrome who lives with my Nana and Grandpa. She loves Fern and we have agreed that Fern can mainly be her cat, as in she sleeps in her room, etc. But, earlier on, Fern was grooming Scout.

They are so happy together! And Scout gets lonely so quickly and when I go back to school, he will be alone in the room a lot... but if he had Fern to play with he wont meow as much. He actually purrs when she is around sometimes.

What do I do? I dont want my Auntie to be disappointed if we end up having to bring Fern back...
