Things no one told me about being a mom.

Ab

I had my babygirl 7/24. She was two weeks early and she was my first born. 3 weeks postpartum and I’m starting to realize all the things about being a mom that I didn’t expect. I’ve seen 2 out of my 6 nieces and nephews be born and have been an active role in all 6 of their lives. I helped with the late nights and first tar diapers. I helped with the appointments and did everything I could to help my sisters. I felt that because of this, I was experienced and knew exactly how to be a mom. But nothing prepares me for this...

-No one told me that you’re always the last one to eat.

-No one mentioned that you get to wear diaper like pads for weeks after birth.

-No one advised me how tough breastfeeding is or how discouraging it is to struggle to maintain a strong supply to return to work.

-No one mentioned how some days you’re lucky to even get breakfast by 2pm.

-Or how you’re the last one to get to shower.

- How you’re the first one up and the last one asleep.

Seriously nothing can prepare you for motherhood. No matter how many babies you help raise or how you took care of the baby doll in health class 😂

But it’s all worth it ❤️
