I have been with my boyfriend for 11 months and yesterday he had asked for a break. He had informed me that he has been sick (mentally) and needed some time alone. I understood so we agreed on a 2 week break. However, the next day (today) was my first day of school (senior!) while it was my boyfriend's 1st day of Junior year because he is a year younger than me. After school he saw his therapist and told her everything he was going through. She had recommended a break for me and my boyfriend or to end things and he decided to break up with me because he did not want a long distance relationship if I moved away for college. But he also said he would have never been happy in the future and he was even thinking about becoming a priest after high school. What hurts me the most is that it's both of our futures and he never talked to me. He assumed very quickly and didn't even try. Am I wrong for being angry? And how do I get over this? He still wanted to be friends and idk if I can or should be
