Pregnancy Story

This is a kinda long story, but I just wanted to share my very unique pregnancy story. In mid July I found out I was pregnant. Turns out I was 27 weeks- I know it hard to believe I didn’t know but I really didn’t. My stomach was literally flat, other than the bloating I was used to because in early March I was told I had IBS when I went to the doctor and was referred to a gastroenterologist. My period had never been consistent and I didn’t get it often so it wasn’t weird when I didn’t get a period. I never went through nausea or anything. But a week prior to finding out my stomach had started growing and I had started to suspect it so I went to the doctor and they said I was 27+3 and was having a girl. I was in complete shock because I just had no idea. In early March I went to the doctor and they drew my blood and knew I was sexually active but said everything looked normal and I just had IBS. I just turned 18, about to start college, and had recently started a relationship with someone I really cared about. I had never thought this would happen to me because I was always safe when it came to sex. I immediately told my mom crying because I didn’t want to disappoint her, but she was completely supportive of me and was honestly just so wonderful and it. All of my family is supportive and excited. I am going to be a single mom because the father doesn’t want to be a father and me and him don’t get along very well. I’m still working and still going to college. I’m just doing fast paced class online for now, so I can get some classes done before she is born. I just thought I’d share my story to let girls out there know that when you have sex no matter how safe you are there is always a risk. No matter how scared I am to do this I will be the best mom I can be.
