Missing nail?

Any other mamas experience or see a baby born missing a nail? My little boy was born missing just one finger nail and all my pediatrician said was that I’ll have to wait and see if it grows in. Couldn’t find much on the internet about it either

I had a friend growing up that had this with more than one finger. One had absolutely no nail and the other two had flesh growing over where the middle of the nail would be and basically the nail growing out of the sides. Never had any issues with it!

apparently I didn't have a nail on one of my little toes when I was born.  it grew out eventually but it's always been a bit crooked.
