Nap and bedtime

Steph

Our daughter has been a pretty good sleeper and Napper from early on but our son has never been a good sleeper, except for here and there. The past month-and-a-half have been pretty rough with sleep. We have been lucky this week that they have been sleeping from 8 at night to 5 in the morning. They go down for a nap around 12:30 and sleep for about 2.5 hrs.

Our routine:

They get up and we don't feed them till 6. We do snack around 8:30 and lunch around 11:30. I work hard to Tire them out before their nap. When they get up we do a small snack if they want something and dinner around 5:30. We start the routine around 7.

The nurse suggestion to push the Bedtime back later which we've already done once in the past 6 months. She said they're getting 9 hours so that's enough sleep. I was debating putting them down for a nap earlier so I could be up longer before bed. Also my husband doesn't get home till 5:45 or 6 from work. With having to feed them and clean up from dinner and feed the adults it's hard to Tire them out before bed which I think is part of the issue. And by the time my husband gets home and changes and eats he doesn't have much time to spend with them before we get them ready for bed. My husband also gets up early for work and it's hard for us to push the Bedtime back any later. We also have a baby coming in November.

They've always woken up early. They are usually up by 6:30 typically 5:30 for our son and more like 630 for our daughter. We've tried to let them cry but lately they wake each other up within a few minutes even though they are in separate rooms
