Does anyone else have a “high needs” baby?

Alie

After three months of trying to figure out what was wrong with my baby (reflux? Gas? Colic? Normal baby fuss?) I’m starting to come to terms with the fact that my baby is likely high needs. From what I read it actually means there’s nothing WRONG with her. It just means she has a big and intense personality. I can actually spend a whole day with her and she barely cries. But if I hand her off to someone else to watch her, game over. She gets so mad she clenches her fists and screams. I feel awful because both grandmas were so excited for their first grandbaby and all she does is cry around them. It’s hard to bring her places because she doesnt just sit quietly in her stroller. She needs to be held. Not only held, but she usually wants me to be in motion. When she’s not happy she doesn’t fuss... she goes into hysteria. She prefers being outdoors, and Home. My one saving grace is she’s a good sleeper. Doesn’t always go down easy but when she does we can get 7-9 hour stretches at night. I go through bouts of extreme anxiety. Mostly fearing how things will play out when she goes to daycare. I’m coming to terms with the fact that motherhood isn’t going to be as I imagined it. But It’s still hard. Anyone else dealing with this??
