Would you buy frozen breast milk from the Facebook marketplace?

Question

I saw someone posted it on there and talked about how she had 2 full freezers full and she was selling it for $1.50 and ounce to help pay for college. She said her baby doesn’t drink from a bottle and she’s an “over-producer.”
I definitely would not. That’s just me, but I don’t know her. She says she doesn’t smoke or drink but I don’t know if I could trust that?

i feel like it's immoral to sell breast milk. i have never asked for money for the hundreds of oz I've given away to babies in need.

I saw on another group about Moms selling breastmilk to body builders....so maybe that is what she was looking for? I would NEVER buy it and feed to my baby. Use an actual milk bank donation center that screens donors.

There are a lot of women who donate I don’t believe it is right for someone to sell it. I used donor milk with my son but I was very good friends the person I received the milk from. I just replaced her milk storage bags and I got her a breast milk ring to say thank you. I am not against people using donor milk I am against people selling it.

i wpuldnt. but i donated about 10 liters of frozen breastmilk bc my son is lactose intolerant and my freezer was full but i didnt want to just throw it away. i ended up donating it to a couple who had premature twins and the mom couldnt breatfeed. but i also dont do drugs or smoke. i wouldnt buy it through fb tho bc people often lie for money

I would buy it if needed, but not on Facebook. There’s a marketplace for that which makes sure it’s sent and stored properly.

Not for that price. Holy hell. That's a ridiculous amount of money to me. My daughter is just 2 weeks old. She drinks 3 oz per feed. Every 3 hours. 8 feeds a day. That's 24 oz. $36 a day to feed her? No freaking Thank you.

I wouldn’t buy or sell breast milk from anyone random. I don’t know what they consumed. I have however given a friend my frozen breast milk because I pumped a lot and I was moving across country and didn’t want to deal with it. She got milk from a donor because she couldn’t produce enough and her baby was allergic to all formula. I felt honored to help feed her baby.
