1 year old won't take a bottle

I am asking for a friend. my friend exclusively breastfed her son who is now over a year old. They have been trying to wean him but it wasn't working. But about a week ago my friend passed away in her sleep. Her husband is now struggling to get their son to take a bottle or to really eat anything at all. I am wondering if anyone has any tips on what could help this poor baby eat.
