Does your baby talk?

My son is 13 months and isn’t really talking. Is this normal? If your baby does talk what does he/say at this age

Babbling away but nothing i can understand. Sometimes i’ll try to sit with him and ‘practice’ mama, but he just looks at me funny and starts smiling and then looks for toys to babble to 😅. Though audience.

Just babbling and basic words like mama, dada, baba, dog, that, no. That’s about it.

My daughter is 13 months,  she says mum/mummy, dad/daddy, nana/nanny, boob (short for Rube the dog),  oh god,  Jesus, who's that/there, what's that,  nope,  yep,  hello/hi/hey, down,  gone, I love you/mummy/daddy/nanny or points at something and says "I love!" plus lots more I just can't think! All kids develop differently but they do suggest babies should be using/recognising about 50 words by 18months - so even if it's a babbled word that's not quite discernible,  it should have recognition behind it if that makes sense xx

We have a hand full of the usuals (mama, dada, dog, hey, uhoh, etc). I can tell she is trying to express herself more though. It's possible your kiddo is talking you just can't tell what they're saying yet. For instance, dog here is "dah". I wouldn't worry yet.

Mine says WHAT IS THAT while pointing at stuff and says a lot of single and double words.

He babbles loads, he says hiya but only when he pretends to be on the phone 😂 he also says “ish” while pointing at the fish tank 🐠

Nope he says kone (our dog is kona)...everythinggg is kone. He grunts and points a lot and it sounds awful but I have a feeling he’s just suddenly going to start saying like 10 different words all at once.

Nope my son doesn’t “talk” but h babbles all the time and is always saying something just no clear words other than uh oh lol can’t even get him to say mama I thought it sounded like he did a few times but I’m not sure now he definitely won’t do it if I try to get him to but yeah he says 1 word also he’s 13 months old in 3 days
