I need some advice

So basically I’ve known this guy for 5 years and we’ve been talking on snapchat and he has liked me since this bbq we both went to. I also like him so we decided to meet up. We met yesterday and his place and it was chill we watched some movies and talked and just general things. He has just turned 16 and I’m 14 , so I know there is an age gap but my mum approves of us being together if it works out because she knows him. So I have only had 1 bf in yr 7 and it wasn’t that serious so I haven’t had an actual bf and he has some gfs over the years and I don’t want to be awkward and do the wrong things or assume anything.
