Male or female obgyn?

Question

So I plan on going to the gynaecologist for the first time soon and I want your opinions. Is it more comfortable to go with a male doctor or female? I know it's going to be uncomfortable no matter what, but I want to know why you go with one or the other. Thanks!

Me personally after talking to my friends who see males and females i rather(and do) see a male! And that’s because men gyn are less judge mental than women and the are more gentle!

I can only speak from my own experience but the first time I went to a obgyn there was a male doctor. I thought it was going to be really akward and uncomfortable but it wasn't! He was super professional and made me feel more at ease about the whole experience

Personal preference. I care more about their personality and bedside manner than their gender so I’ll take either. But I’m not shy/nervous about the gyn at all.

That completely depends on you. I have had both male and female gyno's. To be honest I liked the male better, he performed the quickest pap smear in my life, I didn't feel a thing! But that jad nothing to do with gender and more about experience and skill.

My gyno is a male and I really like him. He’s respectful and funny and has a great bedside manner. I’ve never felt uncomfortable. His dad delivered me and my sister so they’ve been trusted within my family for a long time

I pick a female OB , I had to see a male for a couple visits but i wasn't uncomfortable it's just I'd rather have 1 person staring st my cooch then a male OB and a nurse there watching him to make sure he doesn't do something inappropriately. The nurse being there made me uncomfortable so I stick with females lol

My personal preference is a male gyno. Mine is nice and gentle, made me feel comfortable. The female gynos I had were rough, felt like she was rearranging my insides.

I'd personally rather a female. I went to a female for a few months while pregnant but ended switching to a midwife
