Rant/what would you do

So I took my cousin and her two kids shopping today. My cousin’s oldest is 7 and her youngest 5. Well we were driving up to Walmart, my cousin says to her youngest(he is mixed and the older isn’t), look there’s your family, go be with them as she pointing to some random black people. Then again says it in the store. The little one says I’m black, they are my people and family. Well I felt horrible for him, so I took him to get his hair cut because his hair looked like she hasn’t put anything in his hair in forever, and matted. He got all excited because he’s going to school soon and wanted to look handsome for his first day, but his sister(the 7year old) tells him, he looks weird because he’s half black.. anyways, I can’t believe any parent could say that to their child or let their siblings saying at to them..

anyways my cousin doesn’t have custody of the two kids, my aunt does, but my aunt been trying to get them back with their mom so they been with her all summer and my aunt is thinking about letting them stay for the school year. Should I bring it up to my aunt on how she’s treating the younger one?
