Tacky to have shower for 2nd baby?

Here’s the backstory... My husband has two boys from his previous marriage (ages 8 & 10) and we have one daughter together (age 5). We’re expecting our second (and last) baby in March, almost 6 years after our daughter was born... So, is it tacky to let my family/friends throw a baby shower for us? 🙈

I think showers for all babies are the norm now. My work throws showers for every baby no matter how many siblings it has!

I mean I wouldn’t have one personally as I kind of find showers after you’ve already had at least one child tacky but if you want one or someone wants to throw one for you to for it. It’s really up to you

Call it a sprinkle instead of a shower, since you won’t be needing everything that you needed for your first.

I’ve heard of people having a “sprinkle” where it’s a little more low key then a shower. But if you don’t have anything from your first baby it makes sense to have support from your family and friends.

I'm doing a sprinkle because I am reusing the big baby items I still have. So mainly clothes and diapers and only really is it's a boy, or else I already have girl clothes as well.
