Any new school advice?? 💞

I’m starting a new school, where I don’t know anyone. I’m really nervous, and would love some advice about making friends, making a good impression, studying, tests, etc. Anything at all basically, and I’m really grateful for any advice!

be yourself & be confident in yourself, even if you’re not. “fake it till you make it” really helps. making friends will take time, but being nice to people is the best way to make friends. if you’re lonely at break and lunch and don’t know who to sit with, make sure to bring a book, notebook or sketchbook to occupy you. remember you can usually sit in a teacher’s classroom at lunch, if not then sit and draw. try your best in class and ask people for help, that could lead to new friendships. make friends with the teachers, they’ll be a good base for moving to a new school. good luck with your new school, you’ve got this💛

studying📗; do all your homework and tasks once you get them to your best standard. create a revision timetable and revise daily, it helps to consolidate info. write notes, colour code them (quotes, key dates, formulas etc.) do practice questions. ask teachers for extra work if you want better understanding. USE A PLANNER! this is key because it will organise your whole life and make it 10x easier, put due dates in there, write down your revision timetable here - and be specific, etc. english revision: notes on macbeth characters, flash cards & little quiz. and always remember to have balance, study everyday for 30 minutes minimum but also go out with your friends, family and self to release.
organisation🌵; again, a planner is a major. keep essentials in your school bag; planner, pencil case, spare notebook, pads/tampons, water bottle, hair bands, gum, a snack etc. keep all of your homework in one folder (you can divide them by subject if you want) so you know where to look when you have homework. balance your time well. finish bigger and more important tasks first then take on the small ones. this helps when you’re stressed out with where to start.
other tips🌻; pamper yourself every sunday to unwind and prepare for the week ahead: plan your week ahead, have a bath with bubble bath (optional), wash your hair, exfoliate, face mask, shave & exfoliate body (if you want), shape eyebrows & remove unwanted facial hair (again, only if you want), do your hair for the week ahead (in a slick bun or pretty ponytail: this saves you lots of time in the morning). stay active and try to workout daily, it will give you energy and make you feel good about yourself. meditate daily, this calms you and clears your mind. try to eat healthily most of this time, again this brings energy and just good health and makes you feel fresh, it’s a great feeling. and finally, remember; take care of yourself before anyone else, no one else will push you to achieve your goals or physically bring you everything you need. be your biggest fan💛💛

Don’t worry about being clingy, just tell people you are new and don’t know anyone and ask if u can sit with them at lunch. If you tell them that your new and don’t know anyone they’ll totally get it, and won’t find u annoying or clingy at all... unless they are bitches and in that case, their loss!

i switched schools in eighth grade and what i found is that it's better to be yourself from the start. i was super nervous my first few days and i didn't find good friends until i felt comfortable and started opening up. so i know it sounds cliche but be yourself &  your people will find you!!! i wish you good luck this year, you'll do great!
